SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS. 193-211 AD. AR Denarius (3.02 gm). Struck 206 AD. SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right / IOVI in exergue, SOSPI-TA-TORI around, Jupiter standing facing in shrine, holding patera and sceptre. RIC IV 271; BMCRE 341; RSC 245. Good VF, a few stains on obverse surface. ($500)
