IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FELIX AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / AETER-NITATI AVG, S C across field, Sol standing facing, head left, raising right hand and holding globe in left. RIC IV 297 note; cf. Hunter 123; cf. Cohen 43. VF, brown patina, slight pitting, small flan crack. Very rare variety with the bust seen from the front and with FELIX spelled out. ($500)
