D N PLA VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VICTORI-A AVGVSTORVM, Victory seated right on cuirass, behind which is a shield, supporting on knee and short column a shield inscribed VOT/X/MVLT/XX in four lines; before, a small winged genius standing left, supporting the shield with both hands; COMOB. RIC X 2050; Depeyrot 47/2 (Rome); DOCLR 857 (Ravenna). Near EF, partial flat strike, light obverse grafitti. Extremely rare type. ($1,500)
