For host: BW 28.11; Grove 1815; Elizondo 107; ME 15839; KM 110. VF, for host coin, toned, possibly a cast issue; Countermark: Good VF.
General José María Morelos, who was known as the “Insurgent hero”and “caudillo of the Independence,” developed a significant reputation as a military strategist after the famous Battle of Cuautla. His countermark was one of the most common for all of the insurgent leaders.
