LESBOS, Mytilene. c. 500 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 9mm, 2.55 g 5). Ram�s head to right; below, rooster feeding to left. Rev. Lion�s head with open jaws to right; behind, rectangle divided into two squares; all incuse. BMC 7-9. Bodenstedt 16. SNG von Aulock 1688 and 7719. Rare. An attractive pair of animal heads. Rooster�s head off the flan as usual, otherwise, good extremely fine.
