Caesarea, Cappadocia. Tranquillina, wife of Gordian III, 241-244. Drachm (Silver, 18mm, 3.35 g 2), year 4 = 241 (regnal year of Gordian III). C V V Draped bust of Tranquillina to right, her hair held in a braid at the back of her head. Rev. C / Mt. Argaeus. Bland 70/1. Rare. An attractive, clear and well centered piece. Nearly extremely fine.
