D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II, three-quarters facing and turned slightly to the right, with a cross on his breast, holding a spear over his right shoulder and, over his left, a shield ornamented with the emperor on horseback riding down an enemy.
