SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Alexander I Balas. 152-145 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 4.24 g, 12h). Antioch on the Orontes mint. Undated issue, struck circa SE 162-163 (151-149 BC). Diademed head right / Apollo Delphios seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and grounded bow; [monogram or letter in exergue]. Cf. SC 1785.1; HGC 9, 887a. Good VF, lightly toned, two small flan cracks.


Although the exergue mark is not clear, this coin is obverse die linked to a number of other coins from the varieties of SC 1785.1 (cf., e.g., CNG E-145, lot 123).
