JAPAN. A collection of three Tsuba, or sword guards. Early Edo period, 17th century. 74mm, steel with rolled edges. Cottage scene with birds and clouds, gold and copper inlay // Middle Edo period, 18th century. 68mm, steel. Boat moored on river bank, birds flying above, gold and copper inlay. Signed on the seppa dai, tentatively attributed to Kanesada, of Yamashiro province // Late-Edo-early Meiji, mid 19th century. 64mm, niello steel. Plant motif, gold and silver inlay. Average condition, showing signs of wear. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Three (3) pieces in lot, in custom lucite case. ($300)
