Struck circa 1793-1796. UNANIMITY IS THE STRENGTH OF SOCIETY, hand extending scroll inscribed OUR/CAUSE/IS/JUST in four lines (adapted from Washington’s Proclamation of Neutrality) / E PLURIBUS UNUM, pyramid consisting of fifteen blazing stars, bearing the initials of the first fifteen states of the union; annulets around; all set on sun rays; rosette below.
