KINGS of PERSIS. Dārēv (Darios) I. 2nd century BC. Fourrée AR Drachm (18mm, 3.38 g, 12h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right, with short beard, wearing diadem and kyrbasia surmounted by crescent / Fire temple, Ahura-Mazda above; to left, Dārēv (Darios) standing right; to right, standard surmounted by eagle. Cf. K&M 3/10; cf. Alram 557; cf. Sunrise 582 (all refs for non-fourrée issue). Good VF, lightly toned, numerous breaks in plating.
