SASANIAN KINGS. Pērōz (Fīrūz) I. AD 457/9-484. AV Half Dinar (16mm, 2.08 g, 3h). ART (Ardaxšīr-xvarrah) mint. Struck circa AD 477-484. Blundered legend, bust right, wearing crown with two wings, frontal crescent, and
korymbos set on crescent, ribbon over each shoulder / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; star and crescent flanking flames;
[p]ylw (date) in Pahlavi to left,
’rt (mint signature) in Pahlavi to right. SNS type IIIb/1c (denomination unlisted); Göbl type III/1 (denomination unlisted); Mochiri –; Paruck –; Saeedi –; Sunrise –. Good VF, traces of deposits on reverse, reverse struck with slightly worn die. Extremely rare denomination.
