VISIGOTHS, Gaul. Pseudo-Imperial coinage. AV Solidus (21mm, 4.35 g, 5h). In the name of Roman emperor Libius Severus (461-465). D N IBIVS SEVV-RVS P F AVG, diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right; small cross on far shoulder / VICTORI-A AVGGG, emperor standing facing, right foot resting on human-headed serpent, holding long cross and Victory on globe; R-A//COMOB. RIC X 3754-5 var. (obv. legend, no cross on shoulder); Reinhart 71 var. (same); MEC 1, 174-5 var. (same). Good VF, minor die flaws, dig and a few short scratches in obverse field. Very rare.
