GERMANY, Hamburg. AV 2 Dukat Satirical Medal (25mm, 6.97 g, 12h). Corruption of the Imperial Commission. By Christian Wermuth, 1661-1739. Struck circa 1708. SO KOMME ICH DIR SO, facing bust of imperial official (Holy Roman Empire) with open hand before his face, peering between his fingers / * KOMSTU MIR ALSO *, partial arm with hand holding coins. Forrer VI:438 (this type illustrated under Wermuth’s entry); Goppel 1220. Choice EF, lustrous, hairlines, die breaks. Very rare strike in gold and at double ducat weight.
