LYCIA, Phaselis. 4th century BC. AR Stater (22mm, 10.32 g, 5h). Prow of galley right, fighting platform decorated with lion at bay right; to right, owl flying upward left, wings displayed; below, dolphin right above waves / Stern of galley left; tripod surmounted by wreath and ΦAΣ above, shell below. Heipp-Tamer Series 6, unlisted variety; CNG 99, lot 284 (same dies). Near EF, lightly toned, die rust and a couple minor die breaks, small spot of flat strike on reverse.
