GAUL, Northwest. Aulerci Eburovices. Late 3rd-early 2nd century BC. AV Quarter Stater (14.5mm, 1.74 g, 11h). Celticized head of Apollo left, dotted bands with central zig-zag line on cheek / Celticized biga galloping left; birdlike charioteer above; below, wolf standing right. Scheers, Eburovices, Series Ic, Class III, 26–7; D&T 2396; Depeyrot, NC V, 138; de la Tour –; Flesche –; Gruel & Morin –. Choice EF, a couple light scuffs on obverse. Well struck and extremely rare, Depeyrot lists only seven examples, and this is the only piece on CoinArchives.
