Struck 1840-1843, though dated 1790. Crowned coat-of-arms with leonine supporters / VOC monogram; star above, 1790 below. Cf. Scholten 745; cf. Bucknill 604; van der Chijs –; cf. KM 111.4. In NGC encapsulation graded XF 40. Overstruck on a Peruvian 8 Reales dated 1801 (LIMÆ) IJ. Extremely rare.
