SCOTLAND. Alexander III. 1249-1286. AR Penny (19mm, 1.45 g, 12h). Second coinage. Struck circa 1280-1286. Crowned head left; lis-tipped scepter before / Long cross pattée with mullets of six points in quarters. Burns 44 (fig. 178); Stewart & North 14; SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian) 212-3; SCBC 5054. Good VF, toned, underlying luster.
