SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 16.20 g, 9h). Uncertain eastern mint, “probably near Babylonia, under the influence of Seleucia”. Struck from circa 300-281 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; ΠΑΤ monogram in left field, AI under throne. SC –; HGC 9, – (cf. 16 for type); apparently unpublished. VF, lightly toned, porosity, scrapes on the obverse.
