KINGS of PERSIS. Baydād (Bagadat). Early 3rd century BC. AR Drachm (21mm, 3.07 g, 10h). Head right, wearing kyrbasia with flaps tied behind / Bagadat enthroned left, wearing long cloak and kyrbasia, holding sceptre and cup, standard to left. Cf. K&M 2/4 (hemidrachm); Alram 512; cf. Sunrise 559 (same); BMC Arabia –; De Morgan pl. XXVII, 5. Near VF, cleaned, originally broken and repaired, detached sections now lost, evidence of crystalization . Extremely rare denomination for this ruler.
