Anonymous. 211-208 BC. AR Denarius (20mm, 4.35 g, 11h). Uncertain mint. Helmeted head of Roma right; X behind / The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horseback right; two stars above, B below. Crawford 104/1a; Sydenham 204a; RBW 468; RSC 32. Near EF, toned. Very rare, only three in CoinArchives.

Crawford tentatively assigned this rare issue to Etruria, while Sydenham placed it in Sicily and the RBW catalog in central Italy. The RBW/NAC specimen sold for 6,000 CHF.
