ITALY. Julius Caesar (100-44 BC). Æ Medal (36mm, 16.44 g, 4h). By Giovanni da Cavino, circa 1550. Laureate head of Julius Caesar right / Crossed fasces and caducues; an axe, clasped hands, globe and LEVCA around. Klawans 3. EF, brown patina, edges filed, a few tiny pits. An attractive early cast.
