Decius Mus and the Priest (“Decius Mus Sacrifices Himself for the Country”): a priest and Decius Mus stand near an altar, looking toward the heavens, while troops stand in the background; dated year 415 (339 BC) in exergue / Decius Mus the Younger (“The Son Follows the Example of His Father”): Decius Mus’ son on horseback, charging headlong into enemy forces; dated year 457 (297 BC) in exergue.
