Pompey’s Cavalry Blinded by Caesar’s Infantry at the Battle of Pharsalus: a mounted cavalryman rides to left, covering his wounded eyes; dated year 706 (48 BC) in exergue / Caesar Weeps at the Sight of Pompey’s Head (“Humanity of Caesar”): two Egyptians present the head of Pompey to Caesar, who turns his head away; dated year 706 (48 BC) in exergue.
