Two Coins from the Tarik Darreh Hoard

SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos II Kallinikos. 246-225 BC. AV Stater (18mm, 8.52 g, 1h). Uncertain western mint. Diademed head right / [BA]ΣIΛEΩΣ [Σ]EΛ-EYKOY, Apollo, nude, standing left, testing arrow held in his right hand, leaning on bow held in his left hand and set on ground to right; no control marks. SC 720; WSM –; HGC 9, 299f; CSE 1158; A. Houghton, “Tarek Darreh (Kangavar) Hoard” in ANSMN 25 (1980), p. 34, 28 (this coin). Good VF, a couple minor metal flaws. Extremely rare, only the three coins from the Tarik Darreh known for issue.
