Uncertain mint; Deorhelm, moneyer. + EADMVND REX, small cross pattée / DIARE/LM M–O in two lines; three cross between, trefoils above and below. CTCE 32; SCBI 34 (BM), 299 (same dies); North 691; SCBC 1105. Good VF, toned.


Ex E.J. Winstanley Collection.

E. J. Winstanley (1892-77) is most remembered for his ground breaking work on the coinage of Henry VII along with with W. J. W. Potter. Winstanley's specialist collection of coins of Henry VII was purchased by Herbert Schneider who later donated it to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford (see SCBI 23). The remainder of Winstanley's extensive collections were purchased by Baldwin over a period of time.
