[McClean]. Grose, S.W.
Fitzwilliam Museum: Catalogue of the McClean Collection of Greek Coins. (Chicago, 1979 reprint of 1923-29 originals). 3 volumes: I (Western Europe, Magna Graecia, Sicily). x, 380 pages, 111 plates; II. (Greek Mainland, Aegean Islands, Crete). 563 pages, plates 112-248; III. (Asia Minor, Further Asia, Egypt, Africa). vi, 507 pages, plates 249-380. Red cloth. A good reprint of one of the most important collections of Greek coinage. Absolutely essential for the ancient Greek numismatist’s library. Each volume with a clear plastic dust cover and housed in nice heavy slip case with marbled boards. Small bump on cover of volume two, otherwise a very fine set.
From the library of an American dealer.
