IONIA, Kolophon. Circa 450-410 BC. AR Trihemitetartemorion(?) (7mm, 0.32 g, 3h). Laureate head of Apollo right / TE monogram; olive spray to left; all within incuse square. Milne,
Colophon 31–7 var. (symbol on rev.); SNG Kayhan 359–61 var. (same). Good VF, toned. Exceptional for issue.
These fractions with ligate TE are always called tetartemoria, but they are too heavy to be that denomination. Perhaps the monogram resolves as T=Tri and E=Hemi?
