Maximilian standing facing, resting sword on ground; plumed coat-of-arms to left; to right, coat-of-arms supported by lion / Knight holding banner and riding right on richly caparisoned horse right; coat-of-arms below; coats-of-arms around. KM 28 (Germany, Teutonic Order). VF, toned, lightly chased.

Following the Prussian Homage and the loss of their Baltic territories, the Teutonic Order concentrated their efforts on their disparate Austrian holdings. This series of coins was issued from the Hall mint by the Archduke Maximilian III in his capacity as Hoch und Deutschmeister.
