KINGS of PAEONIA. Patraos. Circa 335-315 BC. AR Tetradrachm (21.5mm, 12.77 g, 4h). Astibos or Damastion mint. Laureate head of Apollo right / Warrior on horse rearing right, thrusting spear held in his right hand at enemy below who defends with shield on his left arm. Paeonian Hoard 445–7 (same dies); Peykov E2160 (same obv. die as illustration); NRBM Paeonia 40 (same obv. die); SNG ANS 1040 (same obv. die). EF, deeply toned. Well centered on a broad flan.
