MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 170-150 BC. AR Tetradrachm (35mm, 16.82 g, 12h). Stephanophoric type. Head of Kore Soteira right, wearing oak wreath / Club left; KYZI-KHNΩN above and below; monogram at top, Φ at bottom; all within oak wreath. Von Fritze II 33; SNG Ashmolean –; SNG France –; SNG von Aulock –; Arslan & Lightfoot 1000–2 (same obv. die). Good VF, toned, a scattered light marks under tone. Unusually fine style, probably the earliest of the Kyzikene stephanophoroi. Very rare.
