Pescennius Niger. AD 193-194. AR Denarius (19mm, 2.20 g, 1h). Antioch mint. IMP CΛES C PESCEN NIGER IVSTI ΛV, laureate head right / MINER VICTRIC, Minerva standing facing, head left, holding spear and shield set on ground. Cf. RIC IV 61 and RSC 54 for Minerva reverse type, but with different legends and Minerva is holding the shield up. VF, toned. Well centered. Nice metal for issue.
