SCANDINAVIA. 11th century AD. AR Penny (19mm, 1.14 g, 9h). Imitation of Cnut Short Cross type/Helmet type. Diademed bust left; lis-tipped scepter before / Voided short cross, limbs united at base by two concentric circles with pellet in center; in each angle, broken annulet enclosing pellet. Malmer – (but cf. dies 851/5801-6 for types). Near VF, find patina, reverse double struck. Very rare.
