NORMAN. William II Rufus. 1087-1100. AR Penny (20mm, 1.23 g, 3h). Cross in Quatrefoil type (BMC ii). Norwich mint; Æthelric, moneyer. Struck circa 1068-1070. Crowned facing bust / + IEGLRIC O NORÐP, voided cross with annulet in center, pellet between crescents at end of limbs; pile in angles. Cf. SCBI 26 (East Anglia), 1409; cf. BMC 122; North 852; SCBC 1259. VF, toned, area of weak strike.
