PLANTAGENET. Henry II. 1154-1189. AR Penny (21mm, 1.45 g, 12h). Cross and Crosslets (Tealby); class C1. Thetford mint; Willem, moneyer. Struck circa 1163-circa 1167. Crowned facing bust, holding cross-tipped scepter; two arches in crown / [+ PILLEm] : O[N :]TET[...], cross pattée, with crosslet in angles. BMC 732 (same dies); North 956; SCBC 1339. VF, toned, usual crude strike.
