Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Andronicus III. 1282-1328. AV Hyperpyron (27mm, 4.13 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1325-1328 (or later). Half-length figure of the Theotokos, orans, within city walls with four towers; sigla: (BK) | (KΦ) / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus II and Andronicus III kneeling to either side. PCPC 185 (sigla 10); DOC 500; SB 2461. Near EF, severe flan crack.
