PHOENICIA, Tyre. Gallienus. AD 253-268. Æ Dichalkon (30mm, 14.17 g, 12h). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from front / Hermes-Thoth standing left, holding papyrus roll and caduceus; to left, ibis standing left; to right, murex shell set upon palm tree. Cf. Rouvier 2529; AUB –; BMC –. Near VF, dark green patina under some light green earthen encrustation, adjustment marks. Very rare.
