ANGLO-SAXON, Kings of All England. Cnut. 1016-1035. AR Penny (18.5mm, 1.04 g, 6h). Pointed Helmet type (BMC xiv; Hild. G). Lundene (London) mint; Leofstan, moneyer. Struck 1024-1030. Draped bust left, wearing pointed helmet; trefoil-tipped scepter before / + L•EO•FSTΛ•N ON LVN, voided short cross, with pellet at center; in each quarter, broken annulet enclosing a pellet; additional pellet in upper two quarters. Cf. SCBI 14 (Copenhagen), 2730–52; North 783; SCBC 1158. VF, toned, soft strike, peck mark on obverse.
