HAΓIA [MARIA?], facing bust of the Theotokos (Mary), holding the Infant Christ; IC - XC flanking head of Christ / [...]ST [...], crowned and draped half-length facing busts of Basil, Constantine, and Leo. While no other seal of this triad of rulers is published in the standard references, the reverse of the current piece closely resembles that of the folles produced in Constantinople (DOC 11; SB 1712), as well as a published tessera (DOCBS 6, 52.1).
