SATRAPS of CARIA. Maussolos. Circa 377/6-353/2 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 14.41 g, 12h). Halikarnassos mint. Struck circa 370-360 BC. Wreathed head of Apollo facing slightly right, with drapery around neck / Zeus Labraundos standing right; small Π below elbow, small M between his leg and scepter. Cf. Konuk, Identities 21; Traité II –; SNG Kayhan I –; SNG von Aulock –; SNG Copenhagen –; CNG 79, lot 380. Good VF, find patina, some underlying areas of roughness near the peripheries on the reverse.
