THESSALY, Pharkadon. Circa 440-400 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.88 g, 3h). Hero (Thessalos?), petasos and cloak tied at neck, holding band around head of forepart of bull right / Φ-Α-Ρ-Κ-Α[Δ], forepart of horse right within incuse square. BCD Thessaly I 1268 var. (same obv. die; spelling of ethnic); BCD Thessaly II 616.1 var. (same obv. die; same); HGC 4, 292. Good VF, deeply toned.
