WORLD MEDALS. France. Lot of two (2) Æ medals of Louis XIV. Includes: “Quebec Attacked.” Æ medal (41 mm). Dies by J. Mauger. Later restrike, after 1880. Head of Louis XIV right; J. MAVGER F below / Quebec seated left on rock, wearing mural crown, left arm resting on shield decorated with the arms of France, banners around, trees behind, a river-god is behind the rocks, and a beaver crawls down the rock to the left. Betts 69. // “Board of Six men for Controlling Commerce.” Æ medal (41mm). Dies by J. Mauger. Later restrike, after 1880. Head of Louis XIV right; J. MAVGER F below / SEXVIRI COMMERCIIS REGUNDIS, Aequitas and Mercury standing facing. Good VF. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Two (2) coins in lot.
