New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1070 BC. Steatite scarab (18x12mm). Upper register of face inscribed with the crown of Lower Egypt between two
sa symbols. Lower register with a
djed pillar flanked by two
ankhs. The whole meaning “eternal protection for the pharaoh, long life to the stability of Osiris.” Minor chips around edge of face. Scattered earthen deposits. Pierced.
