SCOTLAND. Charles I. 1625-1649. AR Twenty Pence (16mm, 0.89 g, 5h). Third coinage, third (Falconer’s first) issue. Edinburgh mint. Struck circa 1637-1642. Crowned bust left; XX behind; B at end of legend / Crowned thistle with leaves; F at end of legend. Murray obv. 1a, rev. b; Burns 34; SCBI –; SCBC 5587. VF, toned, some die rust. Rare issue with Briot’s mark on obverse.
