Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.60 g, 12h). Rome mint, 2nd officina. 7th emission, AD 240. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Pietas standing left, raising both hands. RIC IV 129; RSC 186. Good VF, toned, colorful iridescence, die break on obverse, minor flan flaw on reverse.
