Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.98 g, 6h). ‘RSR’ mint. IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / RENOVAT ROMANO, she-wolf right, suckling the twins Remus and Romulus; RSR. RIC V 571; Shiel 68–71; RSC 82. Good VF, toned, hairline flan crack, reverse a bit soft. Bold portrait. Rare.
