D N IVSTINI–ANVS P P G, helmeted and cuirassed facing bust, holding globus cruciger in right hand, shield over left shoulder / VICTORI–A AVGGG, angel standing facing, holding long staff surmounted by staurogram in right hand and globus cruciger in left; star in right field; Δ//CONOI. DOC 320c.1 var.; MIBE 34 var. (both refs obv. legend); SB 291; NAC 21, lot 611 (same obv. die). Good VF, minor edge filing. Rare.

It was not unusual for the Rome mint engravers to abbreviate the normal “AVG” in the obverse legend to “AG.” This particular variant with simply the “G” is not noted in the standard references and is possibly unique to this obverse die. See MIBE 346 for a similar obverse style.
