Struck circa 798-805. + CVÐRED REX, small cross pattée; wedges in quarters / + D VD A in the angles of three-lined tribrach moline, inner line pelleted. Naismith C17.2d = PAS HAMP-ADC055 (this coin); SCBI 2 (Hunterian), 385; BMC –; North 208; SCBC 876 (this coin illustrated). Near EF, toned, some light porosity. Very rare.
