Struck 871-circa 875. + AELBRED REX, small diademed bust right breaking inner circle / TIRVLF:·: across central field; MON ETΛ in lunettes above and below. Lyons & Mackay, Lunettes, Group 1, unlisted dies, but cf. AfL1.113 (for moneyer and type); SCBI –; BMC –; North 626; SCBC 1057. Good VF, toned, traces of deposit. Very rare subtype with broken lunettes on reverse.
