Imitating a Visigothic issue of a Constantinople mint tremissis struck in the name of Theodosius II. Uncertain mint. D M THEODO (retrograde S)IV(retrograde S) P F AVC, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VICΓOΔIΛ ΛVCVSΓDΠVII, Victory standing facing, head right, holding wreath and globus cruciger; star to right; CONOD. Cf. RIC X 213 (for prototype); MEC 1, –. VF, toned, minor pitting, small area of separation of plating visible on reverse edge between 9 and 10 o’clock.
